Dissertatieprijs 2021

De NSV bekroont eenmaal per twee jaar de beste sociologische dissertatie die in de twee voorafgaande jaren aan een Nederlandse universiteit is verdedigd.

De NSV Dissertatieprijs 2021 gaat naar Saskia Glas (RU Nijmegen). Haar proefschrift, getiteld “Where are the Muslim feminists? Religiosity and support for gender equality in the Arab region” (begeleid door Peer Scheepers, Marcel Lubbers en Niels Spierings), werd als laureaat uitgeroepen door de jury, bestaande uit Paul Schnabel, Pauline Meurs, en Aafke Komter, nadat deze zich over de inzendingen van alle Nederlandse Sociologie-afdelingen heeft gebogen.   • Saskia Glas – Where are the Muslim feminists? Religiosity and support for gender equality in the Arab region (RU Nijmegen)
  • Francesca Zanasi – Carers and Careers – Grandparental care investment and its labour market consequences in Europe (TiU Tilburg)
  • Anne Brons – Family background and union formation and dissolution processes: A cross-national perspective (VU Amsterdam)
  • Maja Hertoghs – Intensities of the State: An ethnography of intimacy and suspicion in Dutch asylum procedures (EUR Rotterdam)
